Florida FB Building Codes and Standards Module 

Florida Certified Building Official Examination consist of three modules. FB Building Codes and Standards is one of those three modules.

The FB Building Codes and Standards Module Certification Exam consists of 80 multiple-choice questions. It is an open book exam with a 2-hour time limit.

• 2021 International Energy Conservation Code
• 2021 International Residential Code
• 2020 National Electrical Code
• Special Inspection Manual. 2012 OR 2018 Edition
• ICC/ANSI A117.1-2009 Standard on Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities

Effective July 1, 2025, the National Certification Examinations will be based on 2021 International Codes & 2020 NEC.
